phoney review!

i have a new phone and it’s really pretty.

samsung night effect emporio armani.
the functions are really cool too, not too many applications and stuff.

the good:
nice sleek design
slim and light
*the brand* (yea sorry ima brand whore)
easy navigation
easy switch between nokia to samsung. (unlike motorola)
lesser applications = easier to use
camera has auto brightness.
4gb micro card
blue/green/red lights are awesome

the bad:
camera’s zoom. whether its there or not there’s no difference
slow camera shutter speed. takes REALLY long to focus, and then it takes 2 seconds to capture the image.
video-ing mode. the size it can capture is so much smaller, like half the area of that of the camera.
its not THAT bad, but the flatness of the keypads is a bit too much for me. it’s ok being flat but its way too flat.
only 3mgp camera
in “my files” its hard to find your videos and pictures

the ugly:
the LED lights might be too much for some people.
just like how nissan cars are considered ‘too uncle’ or ‘too ahbeng’
this phone is somewhat compared to a nissan car, being ‘too ahbeng’

the only reason most people would buy is cos of the brand tie-in. (good job samsung!)

verdict:
7/10 rice krispies

really easy to use, although keypads would irk a lot of people. comes with micro 4gb card so it’s good. tough to navigate into your file pictures which really sucks. but good for phoney idiots because there isn’t much that could make you use up all your battery at one go, or make you go crazy.

singapore tattoo show 2009

or rather, reallly really happy and excited.

yes yes yes.
I went to singapore’s first tattoo show 2009.
*evil evil laughter*

went with momsy.

could hardly contain myself (still cant actually).
bought tickets, jumped up and down, visited their websites and looked for more cool stuff.

(joyce dad sent momsy and i to expo. THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH LOVE YOU.)

walked real quick to collect my tickets (booked online) and we got our yellow hand tags.

rushed to E20.
saw that there were people on stage.

i was totally going “omgomgomgom mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOOKIE LOOK HE’S AMAZING”

AND HE WAS. his drawing skills were seriously awesome.
well the 4 artists were drawing and anyone could bid for them and bring them home and the money would go to any charity of their choice.

side note: i was a little bummed out that the first glimpse of chris was FROM HIS BACK and even more bummed he looked like my web d teacher. (cries)

so we tried to get a better view, but there were tonnes of people/ i mean HOW COME YOU DON’T HAVE WORK/SCHOOL HUH.

so we found a snake-like queue, and queued up. we’re behind about 20+ people in the line, waiting to see chris, and to get his pic and autograph. this is my SECOND time doing something like this. (first was for f4) and i was so sakljsr all the way, because it was tonnes exciting having so many people liking the same thing/person as you. eg, miami ink, tats, piercings, HELLO FRIENDS!!

(note: the music and emcee SUCKED big time. srsly, you can find a much better emcee than that guy. his voice = not entertaining. he = not high thus the crowd was not that great and receptive. spoilt the show man! and the music was wayy too loud + his lousy voice = shitZ)

them continuing to draw. what they did was they they each draw for 3 mins, swap canvas’s, and continue on each other’s drawings.

there’s the emcee on the right. shit guy who’s such a wannabe.

stupid emcee was trying to be funny and it WAS funny when he tried to make a joke and the 4 of them were (?!) at him.

so they decided to stop their work and take a break (stupid emcee didn’t let blonde woman take a break) so the crowd dispersed.

so then they went for a break and i went back to the queue. and chris still wasn’t there. T_T waited for so so long and mum told me to go walk and have a look and stuff. so i did while momsy queued up..

i took this picture because i thought it was funny that this woman looked naked.

i went to find the borneo tattoo booth because they way they tattoo is simply a.m.a.z.i.n.g. needles, knocking, what? (=

anyway i found a big crowd there and there was a CNA anchor there.

they were done with his special tattoo, i dind’t get a chance to see them knocking the needle and stuff, but seeing it with my own eyes.. ohmy, scarier than normal tattooing.

then i went back to the queue and momsy told me they were at the ‘official photographers’ booth and she told me to get some pics (she was more excited than me but she lied about it)

so i went back to the queue and told momsy to go walk around. she did, pretty quickly. cos the music was way too loud and lousy. she kept coming back and i told her to go look at the artwork and stuff and she told me there are lots of china/taiwan tattooists and stuff.

and i saw PAUL BOOTH. yesyesyesyesss!!!!!!!!!!!
he was tattooing people and i was like ‘omg!!!’ cos he was huge, and his face was kinda like a half-mask. i dind’t take any photos because i was afraid if i did my camera would die on me and i would have NO picture of chris.

then i told momsy to go out and eat/walk. so she did. i made friends with this really big man, about 2 heads taller than me. he was there cos his son wanted to meet chris too. haha. so we talked a bit. just a bit cos the music really killed our conversation and like me he had no tattoos.. his son came back and told us that the drawings were done so he told me to go snap some pics while he’d queue for me. sucha sweet man (= so i ran off.

then i ran back cos chris was apparently there signing already, and by that time i’ve waited for nearly 2 hrs.

after a long wait (mentally challenging because of the music, seriously), was afraid i’d faint of sth.

and so mom squatted down to take a better picture of him (must see his features!)

HE LOOKED STRAIGHT INTO MY CAMERA AND WAVED. and my dear momsy quickly snapped a picture. (= he is the nicest person everrrr

we had the best conversation EVER.!

chris: hello!

chris: *smiles* how are you?
me: fine!!!!!! *smile smile smileee*

and i continued to stare at him AND HE’S A LEFTIE TOO MUAHAHAH.

me: *stares* can i take a picture with you?
chris: *stands up* sure.
*puts arm around me*
*CLICKCLICKCLICKKK*

and while queueing i told momsy : take TWO pictures for me later in case one is ugly

so after the first picture she went: “one more one more!”
chris: sure! two is good!

YAYZ.x 100000. and momsy so awesome SHE TOOK A PIC W/O CUTTING HIS HAND OUT HAHA SEE HIS HAND ON MY SHOULDER. NVR GONNA WASH MY SHIRT PLS THANKS.

after that i said (really loudly): thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!!!! my mom wants to take a picture with you too!

chris was so so obliging! smiling while signing autographs, even putting a message on the posters.. and taking pictures with EVERYONE. awesome awesome.

sts was the great! enjoyed myself, seriously, fandom at 18? and with momsy, too. she was terrified by the sleeved works, and the piercings and stuff but i know she enjoyed herself.

we headed to the john little sale at another hall and we shopped a lot. i got myself 2 pairs of shoes. BUT HECK BECAUSE I MET CHRIS AND I HELD HIS WAIST TOO HAH.
