so this year’s 21st was really unexpected..
didn’t have anything planned, got lazy, was preoccupied with more important stuff…

but it’s been one of the best things ever.. (= feeling really ultra blessed. i think the best part was allowing people into my life.. and i dont know how God works but He showed me that good things can happen when you open up (=

so anyway, the celebrations started on tuesday and ended on saturday night. how awesome?

also, i have to mention. i had 3 cheesecakes in the span of 5 days. -stares at weighing scale- hehe. so unexpected……

okay anyway on tues, i went out with j and we had a ball of a time at vic market. food food food!!! my custard croissant om nom nom. and she got me this sailor ring which i liked (but found too ex to buy). we got it from another shop, at 1/2 the price. which only goes to show how those people cheat my money when they sell me accessories/rings!!! -sobs-

bought our stuff, went home to dump them and then we headed to chapel street for some shopping… got myself 2 dresses… hoho.

i knew i wanted a nice pair of shoes for my birthday, but i didn’t know what to get.. but i did know a shop which i wanted to see the shoes and ta-dahhh after like 30mins i walked out a… slightly happy woman

my first ever boat shoes! i don’t know what they’re called. haha. see there are sandals, slippers, flats, heels…. so yea. these are flats. they’re quite comfy but it still bites a little. boo… okay hang in there feet!

walked quite a bit and then we headed home to dump our things again and j went with me for coffeemin! (= really happy she wanted to go help out.. and i was kinda stoned… fell asleep during prayer. hahhaha. )=

went home and then -boom- the lights in my house were out -_- and i was like ‘uhhhh’… and then someone’s head popped out from the kitchen fml. srsly you guys? weak heart here!

cell group was at my place -bursts into tears- to surprise me! majorly touched cos all of them have exams… and dan made this for me

they got me this. another omg HAHAHAHAHA. and yea in my hand was kfc chicken fillet cos i needed dinner.

yay my cell! with some missing. but there’s always photoshop.

on weds, j left and i said bye at like 1pm hahaha.. but before that she told me to find my present… behind some door..

went to open the cupboard in my toilet.. lo and behold..

summery flowers!! i think flowers are beginning to grow on me.. (= they’re quite pretty, i just don’t know how to look after them or appreciate them.. so summery!!! baby pink and purple… brightens my home haha it’s on my table in the living room now…

then i went to my roof to tan. perfect sunny day… after which i went to clean my kitchen, then shower and meet some of my cellgrp members for dinner.

had dinner at misty’s. american dining setting, complete with vinyl disks, booth seats, pink/green cushion seats, boom boxes, bar seats, and heaps of car plates! food was so-so, but the setting was omfg amazing, mostly because it was pink (haha).

thursday was when i slept in (again) and headed to a night market with bez and her friends… had some bread thing with spiced meat which tasted like mutarbak. omg i totally wanna go back there just for it haha!!! -pig face-

on fri, ethan des dan bez and i went rock climbing. (another post!) i think i climbed 5-6 walls. and yes once again i got stuck up there because i was too afraid of heights and shit HAHA. dan had to climb up to get me down. -major fail- weirdly, i’m not aching at all unlike the rest. :/ dan said it’s cos i was too afraid and then my adrenaline countered every ache i had in my body. errr.

went for singstar at des’s place aft tt and then ocf… afterwhich my cell went to buy pizza cos we were gna go star-gaze on my roof and those who wanted to stay over could, those who wanted to study could stay at my place.. we were gna sleep on the roof hahaha.

aft tt a few more cellies came over and then we headed to the rooftop and….

i was really damn touched i couldn’t stop jumping up and down. LIGHT STICKS HELLO?!?! BALLOONS? RLYYYYY. all things i love!!! PRETTY PRETTY LIGHTS. AHHHH. WE EVEN HAD TIKI LIGHTS…

i know i’m screaming now but.. TIKI LIGHTS? HOW AMAZING. NEVER IN MY LIFE… TIKI TIKI LIGHTS BURNING BRIGHTTTTTTT!!!

i really really really don’t deserve that much effort and shit man. it was like my first ever surprises in my life (haha) and if i could cry, i would… but i couldn’t. err. )= also, that’s the 2nd cheesecake

well let’s just pretend i was wiping my tears in this pic. highly likely anyway, since everytime i laugh i’ll cry.. okay the sparkles were cos we were gonna play with them! had them in my home and we were always supposed to go have fun but it was always raining/too cold/people were busy..

they tricked me by giving me candles that would relight.. which ended up with me taking the candles out and stomping on them.. lol

okay story: during ocf some of my cell members weren’t present and i was whining to bez about how they left and i didn’t know where they went. )= and then -boom- all of them were on my rooftop. sneaky. and dan actually went to my neighbour, asked for his help to be let up to the 9th floor.. and he took j’s key and then did everything tgt w the rest of them. awww man seriously.

forgot to take pictures of other things but i got a balloon microphone lol. and then they gave me passion fruit champagne which i proceeded to gulp because it was spilling over (i shook it lol) and then i realised it had alcohol -meh- haha. srsly i felt like i was getting married. only thing i was marrying myself.

plus i had to give a speech. -cues awkwardness- i’m quite bad at speaking esp when i don’t know what to say other than ‘omg thanks you guys i really didn’t expect this and i really really appreciate it’ because i did and.. bleh. i shall type a nice speech out next time

went home, napped, then went to cook ee-min for clarence and felix who were gna come for dinner.. when they came they said, “do you like cheesecake?” HAHAHA i just burst out laughing like an idiot. and we spent the night watchign stand up comedy, talking about airlines and politics.

so today we celebrated keith’s birthday! poor bloke was rushin assignments. bleh.

we decided to heat up alll our food. (ie. reserves. lol) that momsy left j and i cos k loves asian food…

started cookin at 4-ish. and boy was it tough work. :p

junfu’s surprise belated birthday

junfu’s birthday was waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy awayyyyy. okay this makes no sense. his birthday was in march. we ‘celebrated’ it by giving apples to TTSH patients who were in ward 11B. wanted to celebrate it at the kelong but we had no sources/supplies..

and then may was approaching.
junny and i talked about celebrating teck’s and cass’s birthday. teck was may 3rd, cass, may 7.

date was set: may 30th, friday.
decided on what to buy as presents, what to do on the day (yes, we’re that organized. or rather, i was. heh).

what junny didn’t know is that behind his back, teck, cass and i were planning to surprise him.

once again, had to plan what to buy for him..

and it was a mad rush because i was making their birthday cards and no one was supposed to find out…….

basically mad rush + worn out char = well idk, i made it work. lol.

wanted to eat at hk kim gary, but had sucha long queue so we went next door, white dog cafe (food isn’t that great..)

not funny. )= i refused to chew and then i swallowed it. eew.
nevertheless, this year i have eaten pork twice. once in taiwan (their saussage), and well this is the second time.

(dory fish in sweet and sour sauce) basically, sweet and sour fish. TSK.

told the waiters to bring out the cake.. oh by the way, white dog cafe charges $10 for cake corkage. which makes NO sense. there isn’t even a cork on the cake, you don’t have to uncork it for us.. tsk. but yea. they didn’t force us to pay cos we were there for the first time.

junny bought relightable candles as a joke for teck’s and cass’s ‘surprise’

when we sang, however, we sang it for junny, and thus, wel junny had fun blowing out 20 relightable candles.

everyone got sick of the candles. it was just too smokey (yea that’s how the candles work…)

then passed them their cards! stayed till 6am just to do it omg.

all of us wrote memories we had of the said person, plus stuff we liked about them.
