this room came w a breakfast/supper set.. omg..
3 cups of milk, 4 boxes of cornflakes, 6 slices of bread, assortment of jam.. srsly.. i was “waaaaaa”-ing all the way… and tea and cookies!

okay whatever everyone knows i don’t eat any of the above (except maybe cornflakes, sometimes) BUT STILL? GOOD SERVICE OR WHAT?

went out in search for dinner..
Photobucket
marinara pasta.

Photobucket
surf and turf. majorly awesomeeee

Photobucket
minestrone soup. when i was young i used to call it the ‘milestone’ soup HAHAHA.

the next day w headed off to the gold mine! also known as the soverign hill!

the place is amazing. it’s a huge town (inside) and they pay people to act!
Photobucket
kids walking in lines.. pretending to go to school.

Photobucket
feeling like you’re in an old british colony place

Photobucket
haha met 2 businessmen who taught us how to pose like them… (= the older one was telling my dad to walk outside of the road, so in case a carriage pulls across and splashes water.. the lady wont get dirty..
me: so if the man doesn’t do that?
wiseman: then he isn’t a gentleman
me: okay so i can slap him right?
wiseman: well.. in the olden days… it wasn’t very ladylike

HAHAHA WELL THANK GOODNESS I’M LIKE. NOT BORN IN THE PAST?

Photobucket
teepees! i think. ok la tents. those people aren’t red indians. ahahah

Photobucket
a lot of asians (chinese) went to the gold mines to mine for gold. apparently they had to pay taxes, unlike the other westerners. damn, racism started a long time ago!

Photobucket

then we came to the river and had the most fun there. we got to mine gold. and no shit there was really gold. real tiny specks, nevertheless, we got to keep it! very few pics cos we were having so much fun..

Photobucket
me being hardworking. i was telling my parents i wanna quit school, get the yearly pass, go there from 9-5 daily and be a gold miner. haha.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

metal so hot if you used a wooden stick to hit it, there would be sparks/fire

more pics of the old town..
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

went to the gold museum, which was boring as hell.. ok i was just damn sleepy.. but i would have rather gone to mine gold. so fun! i love the “gold mine” game on miniclip! where the old man grabs gold, and rocks and minipigs with diamonds..!

then we went to the art gallery and it was amazing btu i was so so so tired and grumpy.. urg.. here are some of my fav paintings!

Photobucket

Photobucket
BAUHAUS!! LOVED IT SOOO MUCH OMG.. haha k it’s not bauhaus la, but still.. bauhaus inspired

Photobucket

Photobucket
it was only 430 and i wanted to stay till 830 before driving back to melb but i was so tired.. so we decided to drive back.. )= sad.. then again, everything in aus closes at 5ish..

and that’s the end of our amazing road trip! (= i def wanna go back to ballarat again, quaint town.. plus i need to visit their wildlife park!

great ocean road 2.0

went to the GOR a 2nd time, this time w my parents. the 3rd place to go during the road trip. we stayed for 2 nights, but in different locations. 1st night was at appollo bay, 2nd night.. in a town before warrnanbool. can’t rem. :/

momsy wanted to go horseback riding and the most epic thing she said was “will there be someone holding the horse?” errrr… :/

we went to blazing saddles, had a slightly difficult time finding the place due to the off beaten track. $45 for 1.25hrs! cheap i gotta say, compared to the one in gold coast! $80 )= plus, we actually learnt how to trot.. though i gotta say IT HURT LIKE A BITCH…

pictures pictures!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
mom was really nervous, but i’m glad she enjoyed it! or at least dared to try it (=

Photobucket

Photobucket
haha i had a lil trouble getting off the horse oops..

went round looking for motels to stay in, finally found one! wanted to go out and have dinner but everywhere was closed. TYPICAL! )= small town, winter.. ah well.

we went to this place which was nearly closing and took away a family sized pizza.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
caught 300 on tv wowzzzz love it.

headed off next morn, to continue the journey on the GOR.. and we saw a tonne of cows..

Photobucket

Photobucket
and wild koalas! this never gets old all of us were so excited

Photobucket
fluffy!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

managed to find a spot to go down the cliffs!
Photobucket

Photobucket
)= dead penguin

Photobucket

Photobucket
haha made my name outta seaweed.. HARD WORK OK.

as usual, the views were amazing. i can’t capture it in photos.. sadly.. my fav part would def just hearing the waves crash. there’s just something so peaceful yet powerful about it. i could listen to them crash all day long and still not get bored…

found a nice lil place to stay for one night.
Photobucket
dining area/kitchen

Photobucket
leading to the bedrooms… to the left is this damn awesome sofa

Photobucket
this toilet was super! k minus points cos the toilet and shower is seperate.. i hate it that way..!
but this has led lights that heat the whole toilet up so it’s rly useful during winter..!!

Photobucket
my bedroom.. see another bed empty. wasted!

Photobucket
parent’s bedroom. omg the view outside their room…

Photobucket
lovely!

we also had a patio in front of our house..
Photobucket
the view outside is to die for!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

continued upwards i think, saw the london bridge..
Photobucket

then we came to this place, kinda cool! we were allowed to go to the donut hole haha
Photobucket

Photobucket

continued driving and went to….. CHEESE WORLD. hahaha omg such a retardedly cute name.. it had quite some cheese, and a cheese museum

Photobucket
wore my sports shoes cos 1)i haven’t worn them for a v long time 2) my heel was/is injured

Photobucket
had some cheese tasting and dad ended up buying over the whole cheese company zzz..

Photobucket

lunch was simple at the cafeteria.. lotsa workers eat ther i guess it’s an industrial area
Photobucket
the meat and gravy roll WAS HEAVENLY. OMGGGG. i want more..

Photobucket
dad’s scone. i would have wanted some.. esp with the fresh cream.. but.. i might have exploded

continued our journey, saw this really round hill. so cute!
Photobucket

Photobucket
idk what else happened cos i fell asleep, and woke up in ballarat. till then!

mornington peninsular

honestly there wasn’t much to do at this place. rather massive but empty, zombie town… well, worst thing was that we arrived on a sunday, at about 3pm..? and so everything was nearly closed by then. it’s weird how shops don’t open all day for lunch unlike melb )=

drove for about 20mins to a glass blowing shop, only to find out they weren’t doing and demonstrations.
Photobucket

Photobucket
dad wanted to get some stuff for our garden but.. our garden isn’t actually ‘walkable’

our sunday afternoon was burnt, and so we headed off to the only place open: coles. spent a great deal of time there walking the aisles. fav shopping!

went back to our cabin and prepared dinner.
Photobucket
yummyyy.

Photobucket

Photobucket
mom in her pjs. damn funny how the cabin has 1 room and then this queen sized bed in the middle of nowhere..

Photobucket
my bunk room. most of our motels/cabins could house 4 people.. this is where a boyfriend would come in handy.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
the driveway. good for takin wwalks.

the next day (monday), we decided to take a ferry. drove to sorrento to take it to queenscliff. yeap, car and all. a rather cool way to travel, except i got annoyed because i found out that we could choose our timetables. so it was a mad mad rush )= parents were happily taking photos though. typical tourists! haha

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
unloading the cars, we’re waiting to get into the ferry..

Photobucket
it was kinda like fast and furious 4, where dom was in the car, that was in the truck..

Photobucket

Photobucket

it was a 40min journey i think, not too bad, water wasn’t choppy but i got motion sickness from the computer and all..

Photobucket
waiting to drive off!

Photobucket
our turn!

and we proceeded to drive off to the great ocean road via geelong/torquay. can’t really remember. :/ oops. yepp we scraped plans to go to yarra valley!

the rest of phillip island

(friday)
stayed at a house in phillip island. nice 2 bedroom place (=

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
parents took this room

Photobucket
this is my room!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
went to the penguin parade..

it was nothing short of amazing, apart from annoying asians (henceforth known as AA). they kept standing up and blocking the rest of us! FUCK! why? you paid money and we didn’t? you ate glass during puberty? your mom’s made of glass? you’re made of glass? I THINK NOT?! damn AAs!! and when the penguins came out they’d stand up and point and shout “there there”. oi?! everything must tell the world is it? wanna tell me when you last fucked anot? shut up and just admire the world can?! zzz i really hate asians sometimes.. they’re so rude and all, they can’t just sit and watch the world go by..

anyway the penguins were really cute. saw them swimming from the sea, and i decided to stay back longer to just hear the waves crash.. and it was dimly lit.. amazing. (=

because most of the crowd left, it got really peaceful and i took a nice stroll.. the penguins and i were just separated by a fence, so technically we were just cms apart.. (= and then there was one penguin that waddled, AND FELL. HAHAHAHA. what a loser. then it stood up and looked around, before continuing.

those fluffy things, strolling lIKE A BOSS. i think the park rangers are really smart. it’s some ploy. they tell us humans “hey at xx time come see the penguins walk!” and they tell the penguins “hey animals, if you come after xx time, you’ll see these humans staring into the ocean in awe like idiots.. and they’ll start cheering for no reason!”

yea that must be is. and they earn money from us too. horrid. there was this penguin that walked right up to the end of the boardwalk so i followed it haha.

(saturday)
headed off to churchill island. (=

Photobucket
it was a saturday so there was the farmers’ market.

Photobucket
it was really small, maybe 30 stalls? idk.. selling cheese, meat, pies cakes.. stuff like that.

went to the heritage farm too. old colonial houses and a mini farm.

Photobucket
ferret!! so cute!!

Photobucket
guinea pig.

headed off to the chocolate factory..
Photobucket

Photobucket
chocolate. accckkk.

had to pay to enter the factory so we left.. since i don’t like chocolates anw. haha. i think it’s a bit silly though. it’d have made sense to let us see the factory for free, i’d be more willing to buy chocolates after that.. at least that’s what happened at margaret river in perth..

we also went to the koala conservation centre! and just our luck, this koala started climbing down his tree and walked on the wooden rails and everyone crowded round it!
swaggering… like a boss.

Photobucket

Photobucket
fyi: most probably a female. females apparently have prettier noses, and fluffier ears!

Photobucket
hehe got sooo close to the wild koala! and yea it’s staring at me in awe, duh?

Photobucket

Photobucket
quite a camwhore, it looked into my cam a mil times (= totally made my day! being so close to wildlife..

went to the RLC to have dinner..
Photobucket
oyster platter parents had. accck. i took the veg.

Photobucket
bacon and broccoli soup. yes, an attempt to eat some pork.

Photobucket
steak! YUM YUM. beef is awesome! w mushroom gravy

Photobucket
chicken breast in garlic butter cream

(sunday, today)
we headed to the nobbies, supposedly to see more wildlife…
Photobucket
but it was so damn windy.. if the winds in melb was bad (160km/h), this must have been at least 240km/h! it was so bad i couldn’t breathe cos i was facing the wind direction.. so strong it could blow you off your feet, and i was trippin and shit.

so bad that my hair got tangled and i spent 10mins untangling it -_- no kidding, cos there were so many knots i wanted to just cut it off urggg.

we drove off to mornington peninsular (here right now!) and this place is a ghost town!! omg zombie apocalypse!! the town centre is SO DEAD. nothing to do = shopping in coles.

had to ask a guy working in coles what i could do / where i could go (it was 530pm) and then he looked at me and was like “o im sorry there’s nothing. it’s sunday, everything’s closed”. no shit sherlock… SO POOR THING. WHAT DO PEOPLE DO AFTER 5?!

well we bought dinner (salads!) and went home. wow such is life.

anyway tomorrow we’re heading out of this zombie place! taking a ferry and all, hopefully i manage some nice shots (i have 0 shots of mornington haha).

till then!
