surf and turf. majorly awesomeeee

Photobucket
minestrone soup. when i was young i used to call it the ‘milestone’ soup HAHAHA.

the next day w headed off to the gold mine! also known as the soverign hill!

the place is amazing. it’s a huge town (inside) and they pay people to act!
Photobucket
kids walking in lines.. pretending to go to school.

Photobucket
feeling like you’re in an old british colony place

Photobucket
haha met 2 businessmen who taught us how to pose like them… (= the older one was telling my dad to walk outside of the road, so in case a carriage pulls across and splashes water.. the lady wont get dirty..
me: so if the man doesn’t do that?
wiseman: then he isn’t a gentleman
me: okay so i can slap him right?
wiseman: well.. in the olden days… it wasn’t very ladylike

HAHAHA WELL THANK GOODNESS I’M LIKE. NOT BORN IN THE PAST?

Photobucket
teepees! i think. ok la tents. those people aren’t red indians. ahahah

Photobucket
a lot of asians (chinese) went to the gold mines to mine for gold. apparently they had to pay taxes, unlike the other westerners. damn, racism started a long time ago!

Photobucket

then we came to the river and had the most fun there. we got to mine gold. and no shit there was really gold. real tiny specks, nevertheless, we got to keep it! very few pics cos we were having so much fun..

Photobucket
me being hardworking. i was telling my parents i wanna quit school, get the yearly pass, go there from 9-5 daily and be a gold miner. haha.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
metal so hot if you used a wooden stick to hit it, there would be sparks/fire

more pics of the old town..
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

went to the gold museum, which was boring as hell.. ok i was just damn sleepy.. but i would have rather gone to mine gold. so fun! i love the “gold mine” game on miniclip! where the old man grabs gold, and rocks and minipigs with diamonds..!

then we went to the art gallery and it was amazing btu i was so so so tired and grumpy.. urg.. here are some of my fav paintings!

Photobucket

Photobucket
BAUHAUS!! LOVED IT SOOO MUCH OMG.. haha k it’s not bauhaus la, but still.. bauhaus inspired

Photobucket

Photobucket
it was only 430 and i wanted to stay till 830 before driving back to melb but i was so tired.. so we decided to drive back.. )= sad.. then again, everything in aus closes at 5ish..

and that’s the end of our amazing road trip! (= i def wanna go back to ballarat again, quaint town.. plus i need to visit their wildlife park!

ian potter and rock of ages

(wednesday)
decided to go to the ian potter museum w my parents because i’ve never been there before.. no pictures of the museum, but it’s in school! (=

after school we headed over to “what about food” for brunch.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
home made baked beans with rye

Photobucket
scrambled eggs on sourdough rye with mozerella and bacon. shared this w mom.

this is the place where i learnt how to eat eggs! haha only because it doesn’t taste like eggs..

Photobucket
saw this cute baby. yea haha im biased like that.
thought the mother spilt tomato sauce on the baby’s head cos there was this red blotch.. then my mom said it was a birth mark. just as well, i nearly wanted to tell the mom. haha!!!

we decided to catch “rock of ages” the musical.. (=

Photobucket
comedy theatre..

Photobucket

Photobucket

it was really cool, they gave us fake lighters that we could shine along to songs.
Photobucket

alcohol was served throughout the show, with tonnes of cheering and all. with a medley of rock songs, tattooed men, people who literally “rocked”, i’d watch it again!
Photobucket
a lil dark, the ticked we printed on our own. (=

(thursday)
i went to chadstone to fix my laptop and phone while the parents went for a walk… came home, slept, and then woke up to meet felix. happened to see my parents on the way home so i joined them for dinner.. papa ginos! yum yum… then headed over to josh’s place for beef stew and stole his com for l4d2 ahha.

came home to pack and finalised details for our road trip. whoo!

okay more another time

tutankhamun and the golden age of the pharaohs

finally got to go to the egyptian exhibition yesterday (monday)! parents decided to go too, so i got all of us tickets..

walked to the museum, we probably walked really fast because i remember reaching the place in 10mins.. the last time it took longer i reckon..

Photobucket

Photobucket
a really cute part of the museum! i was like “some colourblind person probably thought he fixed the rubix cube” and my mom was like “shao jie ah?”

Photobucket

Photobucket
one hell of a freeze hole.

Photobucket
ta-dahhh! ((= EXCITEEED MAX.

Photobucket
printed tix from com. (=

no photography allowed, we queued for some time, and i told my parents to not follow me and we split up and i took my own time to admire every single artifact, reading everything at least twice and all. whee~

it was nothing short of amazing, i really want to find out more about the egyptian stuff, learn how to read the spell book, ‘scriptures’, but i’m more fascinated by the gods, and anubis and the likes.

we were allowed to view melbourne museum for free so off we went..
Photobucket

Photobucket

i got really annoyed because the egyptian exhibition made me think a lot and remember all those details, so i was quite drained. :/ and then i was made to look at some horse, and the olden melbourne thingys.. acckkk…

but then there was the human body, dinosaurs, and animals section and i was so fascinated!
Photobucket

Photobucket

especially the human body one HAHAHA. there were photos of penises and vaginas and i was wondering how come those people were not afraid to pose for the photos.. and they looked really stoned too.. well maybe they were stoned haha.

watched a 5min video on how babies were made. there was definite groping, lotsa sex, and sperm and an egg. and then i saw boobs grow, tummy expanding, egg becoming a finger and a head. it was like being 16 all over again in reproduction class. and i saw the woman give birth holy fuck her vagina expanded LIKE CRAZY THERE WAS A FUCKING HEAD COMING OUT OF IT NOT EVEN FUNNY. i was cringing the whole time and the doctor pulled the head out and her vagina expanded even more (is that even possible?!!) and the shoulders and OMG THE BABY WAS BLUE. it was avatar-ish.. really sick..

but anyway it’s something i really have to think about. getting pregnant. urg.

the animal exhibit was so so so bloody amazing it was like night at the museum-ish.
Photobucket

LOOK. all the animals on display!

Photobucket

Photobucket
that’s me squatting for a closer look btw haha.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
fav bird. lol okay not irl but more like on rings and shit.

Photobucket
someday i’ll get to have the snow wolf as a pet. or a white tiger.

Photobucket
by far one of the cutest things. red panda.

Photobucket
simba!!

Photobucket
one day, i’ll carry you in my arms (=

there were tonnes of dinosaur exhibits and it reminded me of the magic school bus!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

and then there was one final exhibit that caught my eye.. the blue whale that beached on the GOR..
Photobucket
so huge! it took 9yrs from the time they spotted the whale to the time the finished assembling the bones. mega fail jigsaw people, those aussies. :p nah, i’m pretty sure it was some major discovery thing and much research and all..

sent the parents off for lunch today at woolshed. they loved it! very happy. seafood makes everyone happy (well except those allergic to it). i need to go back and have a nice meal there again. like, asap. i love the food and the desserts and the place itself..

we went to dfo harbour town to shop and valleygirl was shitty. wait, shitty is an understatement.. i didn’t buy much from there, except 4 rings, and a new pair of boots. yea the boots i bought when i first came this yr? i wanted it to last me through winter but guess what. holes in the soles. )= stupid.. damn annoyed. i need to learn how to walk properly!

okay off to bed now. rock of ages tomorrow! hope it’s good…

ripley’s believe it or not.

oops, many posts. :/

anyway, after seaworld, we went back to our apartment, left our stuff there and went off in search of food. it was only 8 when we were done. Went to the shoppin district at cavill mall and bro and I headed for ripley’s believe it or not museum! I’ve seen the stuff on tv many times, so i was quite excited about going there!

i apologise for the not-so-nice-pictures. using an old camera cos my s90 ran out of batt, and i didn’t bring the adaptor! urgh silly me.

Photobucket

below are some of the quite-amazing stuff. (=
Photobucket
