sooo backdated, but looking at the photos make me smile (=
so i had school and band the first week they came, and my LTC/cell group stuff. pretty much left them to entertain themselves.

brunch before we headed off to the tattoo expo.

went to quite a few places like st kilda, vic market, dfo south wharf and harbour town, and to docklands too..

made a special trip to a harley shop in brunswick..

super nice bikes.

and i thought everything in the store was at least $99. cos on the tags, it all had 99 on them and im like, for real?? 99 for a sticker?! and i didn’t wanna say anything about it being expensive and a waste of money, because i’ve wasted a lot of money too… or just in case you know, it’s what they really want? then very awkward for me to go ‘ehhh so ex’ right?? :/

hahaah turns out it was just a code.. the sticker was only $3. lol.
and the money box wasn’t $1260++ lol.
was in specs cos i was sick and didn’t wna get my eyes infected by my germy hands

brunswick street was so awesome! happy i got to explore one place with them, somewhere i haven’t really been to!

parents in melb

uhm so mom reached on thu and dad came on sat!
1st thing we did was to head to chapel street..

no camera = no pics, but we walked a whole lot, for about 4hrs? walked to find my patent hot pink doc marts but they were 1)out of size 2) bloody ex. rarr. the cheapest pair of doc marts..

went to the “share a chair” orchestra concert at night in melb town hall. really awesome i’ve to say, except i was quite stoned.

on sunday we went to camberwell’s flea market..

was quite fun to walk around alone and see quirky things..

saw many huge ass dogs, got a jam donut and a hotdog..

then we went to st kilda sunday market..

the market was okay i guess, more for my parents to have a look, i was just bringing them around. had lunch,

which was a lil weird, cos who eats sweet stuff in place of savory stuff for meals? guess i’ll never understand it.

hunted for my doc marts, failed, and then we headed back home and just conked out.
so that’s it for the first 2 days. shall update more tmr.

bro and sis visit melb

so on the 19th sept i was eagerly awaiting my bro’s and sis’s arrival and…

!!! THEY ARE HEREZ.!

so they came, unpacked and we set off to st kildas beach. both of them were pretty tired cos it was a night flight and they didn’t get enough sleep. poor things. :/

off we go!

there was the sunday market going on, pretty exciting i reckon. lotsa amazing rings, but they cost a bomb. no wait, the cost like, 10bombs. i saw many egyptian rings and i really wanted them but no way was i gonna pay $160 for it!

had lunch at abbey road.

after that we went to luna park to walk around. didn’t go on any rides cos well.. you’d see in another post why.

bought churros to cheer my bro up.

there was a shrek thing going on so

it was really quite windy and it was nearly gonna rain so we quickly headed to the pier for some tea. hehe.

the dress isaac used as a scarf cos he was friggin cold.

went back home cos both of them were soooo tired, and we had a flight to catch the next day.

so mom came on aug 28 (sat)..
and mostly, since it was school sem, she went out for walks on her own, shopping at her fav queen vic market. she didn’t get lost (hooray!) and i attribute that to my great direction skills. :p

so i taught her how to use the camera, and on monday, before class, i had lunch w her at a nearby asian place.

that’s me nom-ing on laksa. yum yum. haha.

then she took off w my camera to go shopping for groceries, and to explore too!

invited a few friends over to eat! yes of cos momsy made the food, we all miss home-cooked food!

and then i tried on some other clothes but they were either too expensive, or the fitting wasn’t good. like even for size 6/8 stuff it’ll be too long. urgh. -_-

lunch was vegetarian pasta.

after lunch we continued walkin for a bit.. and it was raining the whole day.. (apparently it was one of the worst storms ever, NZ had a quake, and victoria got off the lightest. thank God!)

ps: momsy’s brolly snapped because the wind was a lil strong. and there she was telling me her’s were from japan or something. blocks sun, win and rain. -scoffs-. haha my umbrella… well i dont know what it blocks but it didn’t snap. :p thank God again, because at least we had 1 umbrella to share. and also, thanks to online shopping at VS. HAHAHAHAHA. (ok i can’t believe i bought an umbrella online but that’s another story for another day)

walked to crown and saw yummy pizzas. so even though we were stuffed from the pasta we shared… whoops…

and we signed up for casino membership, and i lost my first bet so we walked out haha. i was sulking all the way okay! wanted to go back and play but momsy was telling me not to. and i listened to her. i mean cos she lovesss slot machines and if she can restrain herself.. maybe i should too. maybe when my sis and bro are here we could go again. and leave isaac outside HAHAHAHAH. cos he isn’t 18.

we (or i..) decided we should walk back to flinders, instead of taking the tourist tram…

while walkin along the yarra river, i saw rainbows and demanded to have my picture taken. i mean, come on, 2 rainbows?!

we decided to head to st kilda’s. for the day. (= the previous night i slept for only about 2odd hrs, so thank God I had the energy to get up! mostly, because i thought, i could sleep any time i want, but momsy was leaving soon…

how can anyone not like towns like these? they really give off a ‘laid back’ vibe, perfect for any singaporean wanting to relax!

walked by the pier, which reportedly had penguins..

along the pier, i saw a creature lift its head and then duck back under water.

me: OMG I THINK I SAW A PENGUIN!
momsy + j: you sure?
me: i think so? i mean.. here got penguins what, right?
so i made them stay and wait by the waters just in hope to catch that penguin like creature. and it appeared!
me: OMG OMG THERE THERE THERE.
momsy: uhm it’s not a penguin la. neck so long.
me: oh. )= different kind maybe? why will there be ducks in the ocean? :/

and then we debated on whether it’s a penguin or not, when suddenly, the “penguin” flapped its wings.

me: whuttt. 0.0
yea the damn “penguin” flew away after that.

by then it was about 4-ish nearly 5, and we decided to head back. tram ride was about 30mins or so, so i decided to nap.

beside me were 2 guys and i could hear them talking about me. omg lol.

guys: wow she must be really gone.
guys: is she really sleeping?
me (wakes up, opens eyes and looks at them): yea i was.
guys: you’re awake now, huh.
me: yea…
guy (pretending to be me): ohhh, where am i now?
(because i think i looked damn blur haha)

and i realised it isn’t exactly the norm for people here to sleep on trams, buses and trains. cos the ride’s quite short.. and unless you’re dead drunk or something, you probably would be awake for the whole ride. well i couldn’t help it

and that kinda marks the end of momsy’s trip here. maybe she’ll come again next year. (= she’s leaving my place in 20mins…. then it’s back to being all independent. sigh.
